Doctrinal Statement

Our doctrine is firmly rooted in the teachings of the King James Bible, and we are passionate about sharing its message. We believe in the transformative power of knowing who we are in God's eyes, and we strive to help our community build a closer relationship with Him.

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally plenary inspired word of God. The scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God breathed and therefore, are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to man.  The scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning, and all issues of interpretation and meaning shall be determined by the pastor.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

2 Peter 1:20-21

The 1611 King James version of the Bible shall be the official and only translation used by the church.  We believe in the authority and sufficiency of the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New testaments, as originally written; the Hebrew/Aramaic Old Testament text and Greek New Testament text.  It was verbally and plenarily inspired of God and is the product of Spirit-controlled men, and therefore, is infallible and inerrant in all matters of which it speaks.

The New Testament term for “inspiration” is  theopneustos meaning “God-Breathed.”  It comes from two Greek words, “theos” [God] and “pneuo” [to breathe].  The process of God’s breathing out His Words occurred ONLY ONCE when He breathed our or “inspired” the Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek texts.  This resulted in God’s revelation.  It is the “plenary” inspiration because it extends to every one of the sixty-six books equally, from Genesis to Revelation. It is “verbal” because it extends to every Words if the Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek.  These Words are inerrant and infallible because it is impossible for God to make any mistakes or errors.  Though the process of inspiration has never been repeated, the production of inspiration, that is, the Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek Words, have been preserved by the God in the Words of the Masoretic Hebrew and Textus Receptus Greek texts that underline the King James Bible.

2 Timothy 3: 16-17

2 Peter 1:19-21

Titus 1:2

Further, we believe that God has promised both to preserve His Words and to keep His promises. Preservation refers to the Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek Words, which God gave to us by Inspiration.  We believe that the closest Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek texts that God has preserved for us are those that underline the King James Bible.   The King James Bible “preserves” in the English language by accurate translation the preserved Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek Words of God has preserved for us according to his promise.

Psalm 12: 6-7

Matthew 5:17-18

Romans 4:20-21

Hebrews 10:23

Therefore, in our Church, we use exclusively the King James Bible for four reasons.

  • It is based upon superior texts of Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek;

  • It was translated by far superior translators than we have today;

  • It has used superior translation technique compared with the versions of today, that is, it has used both verbal (or word) equivalence and formal (or form) equivalence, rather than the false dynamic equivalence of thought only, and

  • It has superior theology rather than theological errors in over 356 doctrinal passages, which plague the New International Version and other modern versions.  The King James Bible has been blessed of God since the completion of its translation in 1611.

The King James Bible, (without the Apocrypha), will be used by pastors, teachers and those in leadership in all areas of our Church and Bible School without exception.

We believe that God’s Word to man was completed with the book of Revelation and that no additions or deletions made today are valid.  Further, we believe the Bible to be the true center of Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions shall be tried.

We believe that the scriptures interpreted in their natural, literal sense revealed divinely determined dispensations or rules of life which define man's responsibilities in successive ages. These dispensations are not ways of salvation, but rather are divinely ordered stewardships by which God directs man according to his purpose. Three of these dispensations the law, the church, and the Kingdom are the subjects of detailed revelation in scripture.

Deuteronomy 6:4

Matthew 28: 19

2 Corinthians: 13:14

John 14: 10, 26

The Person and Work of Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.

Isaiah 7: 14; 9:6

Luke 1:35

John 1:1-2, 14

2 Corinthians 5:19-21

Galatians 4: 4-5

Philippians 2:5-8

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.

Acts 2:18-36

Romans 3:24-25

1 Peter 2:24

Ephesians1:7

1 Peter 1:3-5

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate.

Acts 1:9-10

Hebrews 9:24; 7:25

Romans 8:34

1 John 2:1-2

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit of God convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers in the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption.

John 16:8-11

Romans 8:9

1 Corinthians 12:12-14

2 Corinthians 3:16

Ephesians 1:13-14

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the divine Teacher who assists believers to understand and appropriate the Scriptures and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit.

Ephesians 1:17-18; 5:18

1 John 2:20, 27

We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowal of spiritual gifts to every believer. God uniquely uses evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip believers in the assembly in order that they can do the work of the ministry.

Romans 12:3-8

1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 28

Ephesians 4:7-12

We believe that the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and the gift of healing, were temporary. Speaking in tongues was never the common or necessary sign of the baptism or filling of the Holy Spirit, and the ultimate deliverance of the body from sickness or death awaits the consummation of our salvation in the resurrection, though God frequently chooses to answer the prayers of believers for physical feeling. We thank the Lord for the GIFTED MEN He has given to the church (evangelists, pastors and teachers -- Ephesians 4:11-12), while noting that today the apostles and prophets that ministered in the foundation period of the church, before the completion of the New Testament Canon, are no longer available to the church in our day. We have their writings in the New Testament.

Ephesians 4:11-12; 2:19-20

We also acknowledge that the Holy Spirit has blessed the church with permanent serving gifts that continue even in our day, given to individual believers for the purpose of building up the body of Christ. These are prophecy (only in the sense of telling forth or preaching the Word of God), ministry or helps, teaching, exhorting, giving, ruling or governments, and mercy.

Romans 12:6-8

1 Corinthians 12:28

However, we believe that the so-called sign gifts were of a temporary nature, exclusively for the foundation period of the church and are not active today. These gifts include casting out devils, snake handling, drinking poison without harm, healing (by means other than God initiated or through prayer), the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, working of miracles (humanely initiated), discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues.  We read in 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.  9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Hebrews 2:3-4

1 Corinthians 12:8-10

Further, we believe that, being “slain in the spirit,” the so-called “holy laughter” phenomena, where people laugh uncontrollably, are unable to get off of the floor, and the “animal blessing” phenomena where people hiss, roar, bark, crow, etc. do not originate with the triune God who demands that all things be done decently and in order. Therefore, neither the Pastor(s), Deacons, nor the members of this Church shall practice or advocate the sign gifts.

1 Corinthians 1:22; 13:8; 14:21-22

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God; but that in Adam's sin in the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. Man is totally deprived and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost connection.

Genesis 1:26-27

Romans 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23

Ephesians 2:1-3; 4:17-19

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that all sins, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, are forgiven.

John 1:12

Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10

1 Peter 1:18-19

Matthew 12:31-32

1 John 1:9

Eternal Security and Assurance of Believers

We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever.

John 6:37-40; 10:27-30

Romans 8:1; 38-39

1 Corinthians 1:4-8

1 Peter 1:4-5

We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's word, which, however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh.

Romans 13:-13-14

Galatians 5:13

Titus 2:11-15

The Church

We believe that the local church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made-up of born-again persons.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14

2 Corinthians 11:2

Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:25-27

We believe that the establishment in continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament scriptures.

Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32

1 Timothy 3: 1-13

Titus 1: 5-11

We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control.

Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28

Romans 16:1, 4

1 Corinthians 3:9; 16; 5:4-7, 13

1 Peter 5:1-4

We recognize water baptism and the Lord's Supper as the scriptural opportunities of privilege and obedience for the church in this age, and that neither has anything to do with the salvation of a persons soul. Further, we do not believe in infant baptism, but believe that a person must be of age in order to “believe” (on the Lord Jesus Christ), as a prerequisite to baptism. We do believe that children who are under the age of reason should be dedicated to the Lord by the parents of the child and that in doing so, the parents will raise the child up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Matthew 22: 19-20

Acts 2: 41-42

1 Corinthians 11: 23-26

Acts 8: 26-37

We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord. God commands His people to separate from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations, and to refrain from all immodest and immoderate appearances, piercings, and bodily markings.

Romans 12:1-2; 14:13

Job 1:6-7

Isaiah 14:12-17

We believe that God created the universe. We reject evolution, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin.

Genesis 1-2

Exodus 20:11

We believe that God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions: 1) the home, 2) the church, and 3) the state.  every person is subject to these authorities, but all (including the authorities themselves) are answerable to God and governed by His word. God has given each institution specific biblical responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities with the understanding that no institution has the right to infringe upon the other.  The home, the church, and the state are equal and sovereign in their respective Biblically assigned spheres of responsibility under God.

Romans 13:1-7

Ephesians 5:22-24

Hebrews 13:17

1 Peter 2:13-14

Human Sexuality

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex.  We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one's gender by surgery or appearance.

Romans 7:2

Ephesians 5:22-23

Family Relationships

We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions for men and women in the home and the church. The husband is to be the leader of the home, and men are to be the leaders (pastors and deacons) of the church. Accordingly, only men are eligible for licensure an ordination by the church.

Galatians 3:28

Colossians 3:18

1 Timothy 2:8-15; 3:4-5, 12

We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the church. The wife is to submit herself to the Scriptural leadership of her husband as the church submits to the headship of Christ. Children are an heritage from the Lord. Parents are responsible for teaching their children biblically based spiritual and moral values and leading them, through consistent lifestyle examples and appropriate discipline, including scriptural corporal correction.

We believe that God disapproves of divorce and intends marriage to last until one of the spouses dies. However, we do realize that this is an imperfect and sinful world and that a Christian may have been divorced at some point in their life. Therefore, we believe that as with all sins, these sins relating to divorce are under the blood, as all other sins are; so long as they are repented of and asked for forgiveness.

We believe that human life begins at conception in that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder. We reject any teaching that abortions of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the physical or mental well-being of the mother are acceptable.

We believe that we should demonstrate love for others, not only toward fellow believers, but also toward both those who are not believers and those who oppose us. We are to deal with those who oppose us graciously, gently, patiently, and humbly. God forbids the stirring up of strife, the taking of revenge, or the threat or the use of violence as a means of resolving personal conflict or obtaining personal justice. Although God commands us to abhor sinful actions, we are to love and pray for any person who engages in such sinful actions.

1 Corinthians 6:1-8

Ephesians 4:31-32

We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.  As ambassadors of Christ we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us.

We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to support his local church financially.  We believe that God has established the tithe as a basis for giving, but every Christian should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel.  We believe that a Christian relinquishes all rights to the use of the tithe or offering once the gift has been made.
